AMC Insider, is a absolute joke of a rewards program. The truth is they won't and I'm going to explain why. Selling Stubs, what's annoying is by company standards they think anyone will sign up for it. At AMC you will be known and graded for one thing. AMC has completely taken all fun out of what it's like to work at a theater. Carmike got bought out and switched to AMC brand in April of 2017. When I started working here we weren't know as AMC Theaters, it was Carmike Cinemas. I've worked at a theater location since 2015, I am speaking from many years of experience. Speaking of cleaning, one might assume a Dine In t. We would need to also wait outside a theater for five minutes before the credits end to "exit-greet" customers, instead of coming in once they'd just filtered out and cleaned. On top of that, this day was supposedly a very slow day, and yet I found myself always needing to run someone their food because servers were not doing so. An employee who had worked there for some time revealed that employees would need to pop in and out of the break room to snack on hours old food to keep their energy, or down energy drinks like mad-men. I tend to have foot pain, manageable with pain killers and utilizing at least one 15 minute break, though none of the staff get any time for breaks or lunch. Over the course of eight grueling hours, with zero breaks, I worked harder than I've worked in years cleaning theaters and climbing up and down stairs to deliver trays of drinks, popcorn, and food. However, the pros are outweighed by the slough of cons. The person who interviewed me was kind and asked lots of good questions, and was more than helpful when I was signing paperwork. The staff is nice and helpful to each other for the most part, and management is super nice.
AMC SOMERVILLE FREE
Allow me to start off by saying that AMC has attractive benefits, from free movies to all the bells and whistles a career can come with, and tips*. I was due to receive training for Bussing and Running food to and from customers. I worked at AMC Theaters for one single day. I said slavery because if you are an Usher You cant even stand down even when you are standing for five hours and when you have to greet people out you have to say "Thank You For Commin. They Have No Care of the Employees who really put the hard work into that company and they push the people like slaves.
AMC SOMERVILLE FULL
I have to Say that The Manangement is full of themselves. It is really embrassing to have that happen to someone.
AMC SOMERVILLE MOVIE
For Example when there is no mess because the people who go and pay their money to watch a movie even though the internet is taking it over are not trashing the place, you have to act like you are sweeping something up because you have this General Manager who will scream at you infront of the Guests(Paying Customers) and will not care about it. The Thing about it is that when you are a Usher, You have to be doing something even when there is nothing to do. Lets see, Usher is really a janitoral/porter(cleaning bathrooms) and consessions and box office is really a Cashier Job. First off I have to say that this company is known for throwing subliminal words for job duties. People say that Mcdonalds is the worst place to work at but AMC is 10 times worse. The truth is that AMC Theatres is the worst place to work at.

I am happy that Indeed gives me the chance to review former employment and rate them from one to five stars.

I will keep it real and truthful and I don't Really care if I get sued for this review because I am not going to keep my mouth shut over this job.
